Waving the magic wand of life

Brrr....winter is definitely coming!
We sure enjoyed the warm weather of Halloween, but now are preparing for the cold, cold of winter. That's OK, Lukas wants to take snowboarding lessons so, let it now, let it snow, let it snow!
We're laying a bit low this weekend as Pete had ankle surgery yesterday and will be recovering for awhile. Thank goodness for Oxycodon!
For Tgiving we'll be traveling to the Wilson cabin.....yes, I will be getting myself, three kids, a puppy and a crippled husband all the way to WI! Looking forward to it:)
All in all things are fine here.....well, minus the fact that Pete doesn't have a job come June. I forgot to mention that one. We've got some planning to do in the next months, huh?
Oh well....such is life. Without kids, puppies, surgeries and job losses, we'd be bored silly, huh?
Thanks for checking in!

Wilson baby #4.....a puppy!

Well, in a moment of weakness we purchased a cute, cute, cute Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. We named her Marley and the kids just love her, of course. I do have to admit that she is a good dog so far (minus the middle of the night mayhem!)
She will grow to be a medium sized dog, 35 lbs. or so, and she is non-shedding...woohoo! We are trying to teach her to "use" one area of the lawn so that Pete's perfect plush grass is well maintained:) http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/softcoatedwheatenterrier.htm

School

School is back in session and Niko started Kindergarten today. He was nervous (believe it or not). I'm just waiting for him and Lukas (2nd grade now) to come home on the bus soon.
I can't wait to hear about his day because his vocabulary is always top notch and his descriptions of things are vivid. Here are some recent Niko-isms...
Mom, what's a cave replica?
Mom, is this a pun.....I'm not the bee I used to be
Mom, my poop was the size of a AA battery and was green like a frog!

Should be an interesting conversation about his first day at school for which he said he was "scared out of my pants!"

How do you like it?

This is going to be our new location for Wilson news. We hope you like it! I am just learning how to use it, so be patient and check in often.
